Life And Peace Gospel Ministry Pastors Job description.

Vision: Life And Peace Gospel Ministry is a ministry ordained by God for the Gathering Of The Heavenly Candidates in True Holiness and Righteousness.

Special Note: “Pastor, Elder, and Bishop” all refer to the same office.

The Pastor is responsible for leading the church body in functioning as a New Testament Church (Acts 20:28-32; I Timothy 3:1-7; 1 Timothy 5:17; Titus 1:5-9; I Peter 5:1-4).

The Pastor is responsible for providing spiritual instruction and strategic leadership to the members, workers and ministries of the church. The Pastor serves as the administrative officer and supervisor of church workers.

The Pastor is not responsible for doing all the work, but for seeing that it is done and done properly (I Corinthians 14:40).

Ministry Purpose: To proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, to teach the undiluted word of God from the bible in true holiness and righteousness, to engage in pastoral care, provide administrative leadership in all areas of church life and function, supervise church workers and conduct the ordinances and functions of church worship.

Serving Relationships: The Pastor serves under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the Church Body. He directly receives counsel from the Deacons / Elders who serve the congregation.

All pastors must be fully committed to the vision of the church and must associate or identify fully with Life And Peace Ministry by sharing senior pastor messages on their Facebook wall and their Facebook profile must show they are working in Life and peace gospel ministry.

Our Believes:  Life And Peace Gospel Ministry believes that Jesus Christ is the only Saviour of the world beside Him there is no other God and no salvation. Acts.4:10-12. John.3:36. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit is one God operating in three forms., The father is God, the Son is God and the Holy Spirit is God and the holy Bible is the word of God and is our final authority concerning all matters and we all must be committed to the great commission of our Lord Jesus Christ. In Matthew 28:18-20 Jesus commanded us  to take the gospel to the whole part of the world. We believe that Jesus Christ still saves, heals and delivers and Jesus Christ is still the same yesterday, today, and forever. But whatever we do must be in true holiness and righteousness and all to the glory of God.

Primary Functions:

Plan and conduct worship services, developing sermons, planning with music leadership and leads in the observance of ordinances.

Leads the congregation in effective programs to fulfil the Great Commission with the church vision, purpose and priority of gathering people for heaven.

Leads and demonstrates effective ways to witness in evangelism and win the lost to salvation through Jesus Christ.

Visits and ministers to members and prospective members in homes, nursing care facilities and hospitals.

Conducts counselling sessions, performs wedding ceremonies and conducts funeral services.

Works with Church branch pastors, Deacons and other key leadership to carry out the mission and purpose of the church.

Serves as Overseer of church workers supervising and evaluating the tasks assigned to each of them.

Oversees, along with elders and Deacons, all church discipline matters and the management of conflict issues in the church.

Adheres to the Church vision and Policies and Procedures adopted by the church.

Maintains a vital and wholesome personal relationship with the Lord through daily Bible study and prayer.

Worshiping God in true holiness and righteousness is the primary requirement to serve as a pastor in Life And Peace Gospel Ministry.

Maintains proper priorities at home with his wife and children.

Pastors terms and condition of work

I will always preach the undiluted word of God in true holiness and righteousness.

In the event I decided to leave, I will give life and peace gospel ministry sixty days notice in advance.

That life and peace gospel ministry can terminate my employment at any time if I do not follow the vision and mission of the ministry.

That life and peace gospel ministry will give me sixty days notice in advance of termination of my employment if the branch I am pastoring is not growing.

That I shall fully identify myself with life and peace gospel ministry.

That as a fulltime pastor, I will always go out for evangelising.

That I can be posted to any branch of life and peace gospel ministry in any part of Nigeria at anytime.

I acknowledge that I have read and understand the vision, mission and my job descriptions as a pastor of life and peace gospel ministry. I will follow the vision and mission and any furfure changes that arise in accordance to the bible doctrine.
