Text: Proverbs 18:21
There is power in spoken words. Therefore, you should be very careful in what you say.
Numbers 14:28 said: Say unto them, as truly as I live, saith the Lord, as ye have spoken in my ears, so will I do.
1 Peter 4:11a says: If any man speak, let him speak as the oracle of God. God does not talk failure, impossibility or negativity.
Matthew 12:36-37 said: But I say unto you, that every idle word that man shall speak, they shall give account therefore in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shall be justified, and by thy words thou shall be condemned. Many have destroyed with their mouth, what they have built for many years like marriage, friendship, ministry, business e.t.c
James 3:6 said: And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
There are things a child of God cannot say. Like I am finished, it is not possible, I am dead, I don’t think that I will be able to pass this exam, I don’t think that I will recover from this sickness or some parents saying to their children you are a failure, you don’t know anything, you are a disappointing child, you cannot amount to anything. Instead a child of God should learn to talk like Paul who said, I can do all things through Christ which strenghtheneth me. (Philippians 4:13) No matter what you are passing through, try to stay positive in your speech.
Colossians 4:6 says: Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man. Ephesians 4:29 said: Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
Ephesians 5:4 said: Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
James 1:19 said: Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.
Most children of God are powerless in prayer because, they have talked away their anointing in their mouth.
James 3:7-9 For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind. But the tongue can no man tame; it is unruly evil, full of deadly poison. Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
Proverbs 18:21 says: Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Therefore, start talking like your father God. He created the world with the words of His mouth. So, you can also create your own world with your mouth. Job 22:28-29 said: Thou shall also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways. When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, there is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person. But make sure that, you are not living in any secret sin because David said: If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me. (psalms 66:18)
Prayer: Oh God, from today I will start talking like a child of God, in Jesus name.
