Text: Numbers 20:5-12
The word of God is enough for us in this 2021, if we want to have a good success.
Psalms 119:11 said: Thy word have I hid in my heart, that I may not sin against thee.
Psalms 119:130 said: The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.
Psalms 119:105 says: Thy word is a lamb unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Therefore, you have to think twice before you act in this year. For example, Exodus 20:14 says: Thou shall not commit adultery or fornication. So, before you pull your trouser down as a man or before you pull your skirt up as a woman, for the person you are not legally married to, do not think that God will shout at you not to undress yourself because He had already spoken to you through His word ( Bible ). So, choosing life or death, is in your hands.
Numbers 20:5-12 says: 5 And wherefore have ye made us to come up out of Egypt, to bring us in unto this evil place? it is no place of seed, or of figs, or of vines, or of pomegranates; neither is there any water to drink. 6 And Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they fell upon their faces: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto them. 7 And 7 And the Lord speak unto Moses, saying, 8 Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink.
9 And Moses took the rod from before the LORD, as he commanded him. 10 And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock? 11 And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also. 12 And 12 And the Lord speak unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.
Here, we find out that God said speak to the rock but Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice. God has the power to stop Moses from striking the rock but He didn’t because He had already instructed him on what to do. The choice was completely Moses’ choice but remember that God pronounced judgement on Moses and Aaron immediately. Therefore, be very careful in your decision making in this year.
Prayer: Oh God, help me and my household to choose life, that it may be well with us in this year, in Jesus name.
