Topic: The Company You Keep Part 1.
Text: Psalms 1:1-6.
For you to go forward, in a circle or backwards in 2021, depends on the company you are going to Keep. Everybody is moving but not all are moving towards a right direction. You have a destiny to fulfil but if you keep on moving with the wrong associate, you will not get there. Someone might say that Jesus moved and ate with sinners. Yes, if you check your bible very well, you will see that every sinner Jesus met with, all became saints.
In Luke 8:2 there was a woman called Mary Magdalene whom Jesus cast out seven devils from, she became a follower of Jesus.
In Luke 19:1-10 there was a man called Zaccheus, which was the chief among the publicans, he was rich and also a tax collector. When the people saw Jesus going with Zaccheus to his house, they murmured saying, that He was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner. And Zaccheus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold. And Jesus said unto him, this day is salvation come to this house, for so much as he also is a son of Abraham. For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
In John 4:5-39 Jesus met with the woman of Samaria and the Bible states that many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified He told me all that ever I did.
Psalms 1:1-6 says: Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgement, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
In Daniel 3:16-18 the three Hebrew men called Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego, answered and said to the king, oh Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. These three men were knit together in one mind, went into the fire and came back together because they where a perfect match. Therefore, the company you keep this year will determine your success or failure.
Prayer: Oh God, help me to keep godly company in 2021 in Jesus name.
